HWBOT TEAM CUP 2021 - INTEL

Welcome to the HWBOT Team Cup 2021. With six subcategory contests, twenty four unique stages this is without doubt the most exciting and dramatic team overclocking contest on the planet.
Running from August 1st to September 30th, the HWBOT Team Cup will once again pit the world’s best overclocking teams against each other in an effort to answer one massive question - which group of overclockers represents the most talented, best organized and dedicated overclocking team of the year? The contest spans virtually many hardware classes with a comprehensive mix of 2D, 3D, mobile and retro stages to look forward to. A place in overclocking folklore awaits the winners.

Stages
-
Stage 1 -
wPrime - 32m - DDR1
-
Stage 2 -
PCMark10 Express - DDR2
-
Stage 3 -
Cinebench - R23 Multi Core with BenchMate - DDR3
-
Stage 4 -
Geekbench5 - Multi Core - DDR4
General Rules
- General and benchmark specific hwbot rules apply
- Desktop hardware only (no server parts) unless explicitly allowed at stage rules
- No ES, nor unreleased hardware
- One bencher can only contribute once for each stage
- For the stages that require several results, different CPUs / GPUs / MEM types are needed (example: LGA1150 cpu bench with three results needs 4790, 4770K, 4690, if three different benchers submit three results with 4770k only one will count to the ranking)
Sub-competitions
- HWBOT Team Cup 2021 - AMD
- HWBOT Team Cup 2021 - INTEL
- HWBOT Team Cup 2021 - AMD GPU
- HWBOT Team Cup 2021 - NVIDIA GPU
- HWBOT Team Cup 2021 - Memory
- HWBOT Team Cup 2021 - Integrated GPU
Each sub-competition consists of 4 stages. Check the stages for specific rules.

"2 submissions required" means that must be at least 2 participants from each team?
yes, always one sub per member
Can E5 1650/ 1650v2 be used same as 4930k and 3930k? but not 1680 V2? for DDR3 stage obviously
I think at this point we can even allow 8 cores.
no xeons allowed. sad :(
Only up to 6 cores
good :)
I can just save the GB5 files and upload them later via GB5 alike with UL benchmarks save files
And what about today ?
Is there a limitation on cpu generation for this one, is LPDDR3 allowed? :)
Ah never mind... not relevant :/

Hello, is it possible to use dual-processor configurations at this stage?
https://hwbot.org/competition/HWBOT TEAM CUP 2021 - INTEL/stage/5294_pcmark10_express_-_ddr2
Regardless of if it's allowed I don't think there's any s771 board that use normal ddr2 and fbdimm is classed as a different mem type so couldn't be used in this stage.
There are dual boards with 5100 chipset which use registered ddr2, and they are not rare at all. But surprisingly there are virtually no results for this chipset on hwbot. I think this stage is perfect opportunity to change this situation.
Show us what you got!
Looking how great pcmark is in scaling with greater core count, I would doubt it. Both cpus will share just 2 channels of ddr2 (that sould also be a challenge to overclock).
Though, I'm curious of the result.
Imho the biggest handicap is the pcie arrangement, pcm is mostly about storage speed. That's why x48 might still be faster than p45 because 32 pcie lanes vs 16. So you could do a full 16x raid card instead of 8x. All the s771 chipsets have a good amount of lanes but they're all split into groups of 4x and 8x with no way for a 16x slot. Raiding multiple cards isn't gonna happen on a bare metal install so x48 is gonna have fastest storage.
I have a board with ECC REG DDR2)
Weird to see so little of it on the bot, although like I mentioned if you going hard on storage s771 might not gain anything
